The Barryscourt Course is the longest of Fota Island Resort’s three championship courses, offering a memorable round of golf through mature parkland and beautifully maintained surroundings. Together with the Deerpark and Belvelly courses, it forms an exceptional 27-hole golf experience at Fota Island Resort, a three-time host of the Irish Open.

Just a short walk from the clubhouse, the Fota Island Golf Academy is one of Ireland’s most sophisticated and modern golf facilities. With a fully equipped strength and conditioning gym, TrackMan technology and expert PGA coaching, the academy provides everything golfers need to develop their game and take their performance to the next level.

Is there a dress code?

Smart golf attire is required on the course and in the clubhouse. Tailored shorts or trousers, golf shoes with soft spikes, collared shirts. Denim is not permitted on the course.

Can I hire clubs and a buggy on the day?

Yes. Golf buggies are available to hire, subject to availability. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
