A place of prestige and pride

Framed by ancient woodland, tranquil waterways and the enduring beauty of the 19th-century Fota estate, our championship golf course is an unforgettable experience.

Designed by Christy O’Connor Jr. and Peter McEvoy, and later refined by acclaimed golf architect Jeff Howes, every fairway follows the natural contours of our remarkable island landscape.

As hosts of the Irish Open on three occasions, we’ve welcomed many of the world’s finest golfers while remaining a renowned destination enjoyed by members, visitors and those discovering the game for the first time.

With 27 championship holes to play, Fota Island Resort’s golf course is a place where sporting heritage, expert course conditioning and stunning surroundings come together to create a truly memorable experience.
