The Amber Lounge

The Cove

Canteen Chef

Fota Island Resort are currently recruiting for a Canteen Chef to join our renowned kitchen team. As Canteen chef you will be responsible for the operations of the staff restaurant to deliver an excellent experience while training ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities of this role

  • Prepare and serve the food for the staff canteen during break periods
  • Ensure replenishment and rotation of food during service
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, allergens, methods of production and presentation standards
  • Assess quality control and adhere to service standards and food safety regulations.
  • Ensure Canteen areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards
  • Plan menus with the Executive Head Chef to ensure a wide range of food is offered to cater to all taste
  • Support other aspects of the kitchen operation when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • HACCP certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive can do will do attitude
  • Excellent Grooming and Presentation
