What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in managing a lodge or hotel Accommodation department
- Working knowledge of Opera PMS or equivalent
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills and the ability to influence change
- Previous experience with KPI’s, budgets, forecasting
- Extensive experience in managing a high-performance team including staff training, knowledge and skills, grooming, customer service and room etiquette
- Experience with report writing, e-mailing, compiling rosters and training plans, basic payroll administration, Labour Cost Management and ordering,
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance and customer service
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Fluent English
- Excellent Grooming and Presentation
- 3rd level Hospitality Diploma or equivalent desirable but not essential
Responsibilities:
- To co-ordinate the efficient running of the Lodge Accommodation department, ensuring guest care and comfort are delivered
- Manage budgets, forecasts and operating costs within the Lodge Accommodation department
- Manage the team ensuring standards are in place
- Ensure Procedures, SOPs, and Systems are in place across the Lodge Accommodation department
- Conduct daily inspections and co-ordinate work schedules in all lodge areas
- Ensure assignments carried out by employees are completed and that a thorough handover is completed each shift.
- Ensures effective communication and cooperation with Reservations, Front Office, IT, Maintenance teams and others as required in support of maximum efficiency of lodge letting and servicing
- To establish & maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest Lodges
- To establish routine plans so that all furniture, fittings, carpets and coverings are maintained to a high standard
