"My husband and I got married in Cork in March and our wedding reception was in Fota Island Hotel and Spa. We were absolutely delighted with the service and the entire experience in Fota. Clodagh, the wedding coordinator is professional, experienced and a really lovely person. The standard of the food, the service and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. Loads of our guests remarked on the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff - nothing was too much trouble. Because a lot of our guests were travelling to Cork for the wedding, being able to offer a variety of accommodation options (hotel rooms/houses etc) was important to us, and Fota was able to do this. The spa and golf facilities were an added bonus as well. I suppose I just wanted to let everyone know that we were very happy with our experience in Fota Island and would highly recommend it to all couples planning a wedding in Cork".

"I got married in Fota Island just over a year ago. We were originally looking at having 70 guests so we went with the Golf Club. Ended up with 105 people at the wedding, but the change in numbers caused no problems at all. Have to say the staff and organisation was unbelievably good. They couldn't do enough for us and the whole day was fantastic. People still raving about the food over a year later. Don't know what the numbers required for the hotel were, but so glad we went to the golf club as the smaller numbers and venue meant the whole thing was very intimate and there was a great atmosphere".

"I had looked at a lot of venues in Cork & kept going back to Fota Island Resort & eventually booked it. The staff are extremely helpful & very accommodating. We checked into the hotel the Thursday before our Wedding (which was on a sat) & checked out on the Monday, the service never dropped at any stage through out our entire stay. We were treated as the bride & groom from the minute we stepped foot in the hotel on the Thursday until we left on the Monday".
"Thanks so much for all your help in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. We could not have asked for the day to go any better. You were an absolute pleasure to deal with and really went out of your way to make things as easy as possible for us. All of the staff at the hotel were great on the day, an absolute credit to themselves and the hotel. It was particularly noticeable, both on the day itself and after, the number of our guests that mentioned to us how much they enjoyed their respective meal, stay and breakfast the next morning. I think all were in agreement that the food and service were superb, with many saying the food was the best they had eaten at any wedding reception they had attended".

Myself and Tony got married in Fota Island on 22nd September and it was absolutely perfect. Every detail was fantastic. Anything we asked for was never a problem. Susan Lavelle is super at her job and is an asset to have there. She makes everything seem so easy and her advice is second to none. We work and live in Dublin are from Laois and got married in Cork so we really relied upon her. From start to finish the day went so so well including the weather. It was unbelievable. We also had a BBQ the following day in the Golf Golf and all I can say is OMG the food was excellent. The food at our wedding reception was also superb. The chef was great and gave us some great advise. The food was delicious on the day. The service was excellent throughout the hotel, golf club and in the residents bar in the early hours. I'd like to mention some staff names - Mary, Eoin, Liam, Thomas, Joe (I hope I have them correct and these are only the ones I can think of). Our guests are still taking about our wedding and Fota Island Resort.
