Titantic 100 - Cobh 2012
2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's maiden voyage. Cobh, then Queenstown, was the Titanic's last port of call. 123 passengers boarded the magnificent vessel in a bid to journey to the new world. For the last century the world has been intrigued with the story of the largest passenger liner at the
time and the vessel that many thought was unsinkable.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's journey and to remember and pay tribute to all who have been involved with her, Cobh in County Cork, Ireland, will play host to a memorable series of events. This event series – Titanic 100 Cobh 2012, will include many and varied events and will appeal to a wide audience. We look forward to seeing you in Cobh to share the experience with us. Cork Opera House

SailCork Courses
Cork Harbour is one of the world's finest harbours. It offers a wide variety of conditions for sailing and powerboating. Skibereen Heritage Centre
The Heritage Centre is home to the Great Famine Commemoration Exhibition and the Lough Hyne Visitor Centre The Great Famine Commemoration Exhibition commemorates the tragic period in the 1840s that is known in Irish History as the Great Hunger. Skibbereen, along with many areas of the west, was very badly affected losing up to a third of its population to hunger, disease and emigration. The Lough Hyne Visitor Centre explains the unique nature of this salt- water marine lake, Ireland’s first Marine Nature Reserve.
