Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocols

Note from fota Island resort

Fota Island Resort is delighted to welcome guests and visitors as we continue to implement all HSE Recommendations and Fáilte Ireland Guidelines across the Resort. Fota Island Spa plans to reopen from July 9th.

The health and safety of our guests and professional team of staff are of the utmost importance to us, and with that in mind, we are now implementing the necessary protocols in line with Fáilte Ireland Guidelines.

We will continue to work with the HSE, the Irish Hotels Federation and the Golfing Union of Ireland on these protocols to ensure that we are providing a safe and comfortable experience for both our staff and guests.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, passengers arriving into Ireland from overseas countries not listed on the Governments green list are expected to restrict their movements for 14 days after arrival in the country. We are unable to accommodate guests from countries not on the green list in the hotel unless they have restricted their movements elsewhere prior to their arrival to the hotel. We can accommodate guests from countries not on the green list in the lodges however they will not be permitted to use the resort facilities for 14 days after arrival.  Details of the ‘green list’ of exempted countries (reviewed every two weeks) are available on the Department for Foreign Affairs’ website here. Further details on the protocols for international travel can be Current Irish Government travel advice and policies in relation to visitors travelling from overseas can be found here. We will continue to update the resort policies and procedures according to government guidelines.
