Fota Island Golf Club Ireland - The Premier Golf Resort in Ireland

The championship golf course at Fota Island Resort was developed in 1993. It was designed in partnership with Irish Ryder Cup star Christy O'Connor Jr. and twice English Amateur Champion Peter McEvoy. While essentially a resort course, Fota has hosted a number of tournaments including the Irish Club Professional Championship, the Irish PGA Championship and three Irish Amateur Opens, making Fota Island Resort Hotel Ireland a popular choice for golfers from all over Great Britain and Ireland. For those traveling by air, Fota Island Golf Club has golf clubs, buggies and pull trolleys available for hire from the Pro Shop. The prices for each are as follows:

There are a variety of challenging golf courses located within the Cork region including Cork Golf Clubs; Lee Valley Golf & Country Club, Old Head Golf Links Kinsale, Cobh Golf Club, Douglas Golf Club, Monkstown Golf Club and Mallow Golf Club.  There are also a number of Pay & Play courses available for visitors at Water Rock Golf Course, Mahon Golf Club and Fernhill Golf & Country Club.  Other recommended courses, within one and half hours travelling distance from Fota Island would be Killarney Golf and Fishing Club, Adare Golf Club, Mount Juliet Golf Club and Faithlegg Golf Club.
