Fota Island Golf Club is located a few minutes drive from Cork City with its international airport and passenger ferry terminal. It lies in the heart of a 780 acre estate which is included in "The Inventory of Outstanding Landscapes in Ireland".

The splendid woodlands are woven into three challenging championship courses which are very much in the traditional mode, featuring strategically placed bunkers and undulating putting surfaces.

The Clubhouse
The Clubhouse at Fota Island Golf Club is the extremely creative conversion of old stone farm buildings. The exterior retains the original stonework as well as the original country feel which merges effortlessly into the surrounding landscape.

Inside, however, one is presented with a luxury that is more like a top-class hotel than a conventional golf clubhouse, with attractively appointed locker rooms and the wonderful ambience of The Spike Bar.

After a day's golf come and relax in the congenial atmosphere of the Spike Bar overlooking the iconic 18th green of the Deerpark course. Perfect for light snacks before you venture out or ideal for excellent après golf cuisine.
